Due to an incident that occurred with her older brother she does not know, Laila was forced into a life of shelter. Her parents did not want another child to bear the same fate as their eldest, so they kept their second child away from the world. One day while Laila's mother was making dinner, she accidentally cut her finger. Little Laila saw this and wrapped her mother's finger with a cloth to stop the bleeding, in the meantime Laila quickly went to find medicine to heal the cut. Not knowing fully that the cut was already healed. Her mother had figured out that her daughter had healing powers and told her. Laila was ecstatic that she had healing powers and her mother supported her journey how to use them properly by gifting her books how to use them. But Laila's mother told her something very important.“You must never tell papa about your abilities,”“Why mama?”“Papa would be upset if you had these abilities, you don’t want to make him mad right?” So they kept it a secret. Laila didn’t understand why but she kept to her promise. Her mother wanted to keep this a secret because she saw how alone Laila looked, how she longed to explore the world. With her healing abilities she thought that it would give her daughter a chance to explore Eorzea, her mother knew that Laila’s brother would have done the same. But she made the one mistake of leaving a book out. Laila’s father found the book and questioned her, Laila couldn’t lie to her father, so she showed him her healing powers. Her father was scared he didn’t want his child getting ideas of “exploring the world” so he took all the healing books that she had and burned them.
“Those books are nothing but lies, there's nothing but death and sadness out there, you’re safe here,” he said desperately trying to keep his little girl from leaving the safety of home. Laila had to watch every page of the books be burned. But one book didn’t receive the same fate as the rest. She kept the book in between the floorboards of her room, it was tales of the warrior of light.
Once she was 17 Laila’s mother helped her escape home and put her on a ship to Gardina. With a staff that her mother kept for her when they first discovered her healing powers, food, few potions, and her favorite book Laila left home scared but excited.To this day she has not kept in contact with her parents, nor did her mother attempt to contact Laila. But Laila hopes to see her parents again so she can show her father how strong she has become.

Being confined in her home for almost half of her life Laila has trouble reading the room sometimes. That type of innocent look to the world gets her in trouble. But her kindness always shows even at the toughest of times.Weaknesses: Laila has a bad habit of not telling her close friends if something is wrong with her health. She doesn't like people worrying about her. Even though it's obvious that something is wrong with her she will completely deny it. Another thing is that she loves her FC members like a family, and she would anything to keep them safe from harm even if it means she needs to put herself in harm.How she see's people:
Laila has a very black and white perception of people. People can only be good or bad is how she sees it. The idea of good people turning bad and bad people turning good is something she has trouble seeing in her black and white perception. When these good people ever do something bad, she is very much in denial. She still wants to think they’re good, maybe they’re being led down the wrong path but once proven wrong leads to these episodes of rage for her that she was easily tricked. She sees the good in people, more specifically the words that her close friends and scions tell her. She has high regards for these good people even if they do small things, they still deserve to be respected and be an example of a good person. Bad people for her have always been the traditional villain that she’s read in books. In her eyes they are not redeemable. Even if this person tries to turn over a new leaf she will hold on to that brief they are not redeemable. But if they do find a way to be redeemed she still has this back in the mind feeling they can still be bad.Character Playlist:

Azaka Kylanthia (Sis)- "Azaka is one of my new friends that I've met traveling, I've only known her for a little while but she's very knowledgeable about subjects I haven't heard of. She is a teacher but even a teacher's knowledge is limited. I know I can always go to her to talk about my worries."

Themis Arcadia (Themy)- "Themis is the most king and gentle person I've met in my travels; he tends to worry a lot about others though he has his reasons. Even though he enjoys being alive once more, I can tell that the loss of his memories weight upon him from time to time. I only hope that he lives a more peaceful life."

Kingdom of Zettai- With Laila being part of the inner court, the other member and her have the responsibilities of making decisions for the future of Zettai. She also has her personal responsivity of healing the wounded. When being part of the inner court she didn't know if she was fit to be in the court, but Corvin told her it can be way to protect the FC and for her to become stronger. With second thoughts and anxiety washed away, she is willing to help Corvin develop the kingdom.
